Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani, who will portray the cosmic-powered Kingo in the movie, said he was awestruck by the scale of the film every day he went to work.

After a fan expressed interest in getting some news about the upcoming Eternals movie on Twitter, Nanjiani tweeted, "I'm in the dark, too," leaving him with little he could share. Despite this, he took it upon himself to cheer up impatient fans by talking about how much they have to look forward to when the movie finally comes out.

"But I promise the movie will be worth the wait," he said. "It's the most exciting, fun, epic, thrilling, hilarious & moving project I've ever been a part of. And it's massive. The scale of it is unlike anything I've ever seen. I would walk on to shoot and be awestruck by the sets every day."

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced in 2018 that an Eternals movie was in development. Part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4, the movie is intended to be the 25th film in the MCU and takes place after the events of the 2019 film, Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Chloé Zhao with a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, The Eternals stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Gemma Chan as Sersi and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight. The film will premiere in theaters on Feb. 12, 2021.
