Lia McHugh, who plays Sprite in Eternals, posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos, one of which shows Harry Styles as Eros/Starfox.

McHugh put the photos on her Instagram, encouraging people to see Eternals in her caption. The first image shows her with actors Richard Madden, who plays Ikaris, and Styles. Subsequent photos in the post show Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Druig (Barry Keoghan), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry) and Makkari (Lauren Ridloff). Curiously, Styles is not wearing the costume he had on in the movie's mid-credits scene.

Part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Eternals is based on characters created by Jack Kirby. In the movie, the titular group -- which is made up of Ajak, Sersi, Ikaris, Kingo, Sprite, Makkari, Phastos, Druig, Thena and Gilgamesh -- are sent to Earth by the Celestials to stop the Deviants. Once they accomplish their task, they part ways. However, they're forced together again when -- following the reversal of Thanos' Snap in Avengers: Endgame -- the Deviants return, precipitating an event called the "Emergence."

At the time of writing, Eternals has earned more than $336 million against a budget of approximately $200 million. Those numbers are despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which still has some reticent to return to in-person screenings. While Eternals has done well so far at the box office, the movie currently holds a 47 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. As such, Eternals is the lowest-rated MCU film on that review aggregator and the only to earn the "Rotten" distinction.

Currently, the future of the characters introduced in Eternals isn't totally clear. Marvel Studios has not announced any official plans for the characters, though Eternals screenwriter Kaz Firpo did share his vision for a prequel focused on Kingo.

Created by Jim Starlin, Starfox first appeared in 1973's Invincible Iron Man #55. The character is actually the brother of Thanos, who served as the main villain for Phase Three of the MCU. Over the years, Starfox -- who can control the emotions of others -- has been a member of such teams as the Avengers and Dark Guardians. It's not clear at this time when Styles' take on the character will return to the MCU. However, mid-credits and post-credits scenes are a pretty common way that Marvel Studios signals someone will appear in future projects. As such, Styles is likely to return sooner rather than later.

Directed by Chloé Zhao, Eternals is in theaters now.
