A classic member of the Avengers debuts a new look on a pair of variant covers for Eternals #5.

CBR can exclusively reveal Gerald Parel and Esad Ribic's variant covers to June's Eternals #5, featuring Gilgamesh. Parel's cover takes a close-up look at Gilgamesh in his new armored costume. His fists are clenched, and a reflection of his fellow Eternal, Ikaris, can be seen in Gilgamesh's helmet. As for the Ribic design variant, it gives a full-body look at Gilgamesh's new costume, which also reveals the bottom portion of the helmet retracts to expose his mouth and chin.

Kieron Gillen and Esad Ribic's Eternals launched ahead of their Marvel Studios feature film, set to release in theaters on Nov. 5. Also known as the Forgotten One, Gilgamesh joined Earth's Mightiest Heroes in 1989's Avengers #300 by Walter Simonson and John Buscema. His return in Eternals #5 ties into the ongoing conspiracy involving the death of their leader, Zuras.

Eternals #5 goes on sale June 30 from Marvel Comics.
