At least one Disney executive is not pleased with the recent spoiler reveal from Marvel's Eternals. On the evening of Monday, Oct. 18, following the premiere of Eternals, a journalist at Variety tweeted out a major spoiler for the movie, which seems to be from one of the two post-credits scenes that have been kept tightly under wraps. Since then, numerous outlets and users on social media have picked up the news and run with it, making several of the details trend on Twitter. As such, it's become nearly impossible to avoid the details shared, which are still up on the journalist's account.Asad Ayaz, the head of marketing for The Walt Disney Studios, spoke up on Twitter about the spoiler revealing, saying "To our colleagues and friends in the press and fan community who will be watching Eternals in the days ahead, please help preserve the experience of this incredible film. Please do not post spoilers and reveals that so many have worked so hard to protect."RELATED: Eternals' Lauren Ridloff Didn't Need to Audition for Makkari

While elements of what was revealed have been rumored, nothing was certain, and many on Twitter replied to the journalist complaining that they would have liked to see the moment unfold on screen when the movie hits theaters in a few weeks. That the reveal was made by a writer from a major outlet is all the more shocking, and neither the journalist nor Variety have responded. Aside from Ayaz's remarks, no one at Disney or Marvel Studios has spoken about the reveal either.

Marvel Studios has typically been able to keep a tight lid on details about its films, though various leaks have arrived in the form of merchandise reveals. What is often guarded, however, is the contents of the requisite credits scenes. Marvel even kept them out of various screenings of Eternals to keep things quiet. Now, many viewers will likely know about the reveal before the film arrives. In fact, it's possible Marvel may even lean into the news and release it publicly to take control of the situation.

But until Eternals arrives in theaters on Nov. 5, fans averse to spoilers should practice extra caution online.
