The first full trailer for the Queen Latifah-led reboot of The Equalizer has arrived.

The trailer features Latifah in the titular role of Robyn McCall -- a CIA employee-turned-vigilante after quitting her job at the intelligence agency. The footage features plenty of action, with McCall seen kicking in doors, beating up armed men and rescuing people in peril. In one scene, McCall is informed by a former colleague that the agency is investigating her activities and that they want her back. "You're the best they had," he tells her. "I don't work for them anymore," McCall responds. "I'm using my powers for good." The trailer also highlights McCall's relationship with her young daughter, who presses her on why she quit her job at the CIA. "It's complicated," McCall replies.

In another scene, McCall -- dressed in all black and donning a black motorcycle helmet -- is seeing rescuing a young woman from an NYPD van. The trailer cuts between those images and a scene with McCall sitting in her car with her daughter as they watch a group of young women in a juvenile detention facility through a fence. "This world is just looking for a reason to put a young Black girl on that side of the fence," she tells her daughter. "Don't help them." The trailer closes with McCall saying, "I’m the one you call when you can’t call 911."
