As principal photography on Epix's upcoming DC prequel series Pennyworth, focused on the longtime Wayne Family butler, continues in England, actor Polly Walker has joined the cast in a recurring role.

Walker will be playing Peggy Sykes, the sister of Bet Sykes (Paloma Faith), one of the major villains of the upcoming television series. Peggy is reportedly one of the most prominent dominatrices in Lancashire during the events of the show and is fiercely loyal to her sister.

Principal photography on the ten-episode first season began in October and is expected to air sometime on the premium cable network sometime next year.

Taking place in the 1960s London, Pennyworth will show the beginnings of the eponymous character's relationship with the Wayne Family as he starts his own private security company with Thomas Wayne after leaving the military.

Produced by Warner Horizon Television, Pennyworth will reunite Bruno Heller with Gotham‘s Danny Cannon, who will executive produce and direct the pilot. Heller will write and executive produce. The series stars Jack Bannon as its title character with Ben Aldridge as Thomas Wayne, Paloma Faith as Bet Sykes, Jason Flemyng as Lord Harwood, Ryan Fletcher as Dave Boy, and Hainsley Lloyd Bennett as Bazza. The series is expected to premiere next year on Epix.
