Millie Bobby Brown is a very different gifted young prodigy in the upcoming Netflix original movie Enola Holmes, which sees her play the eponymous younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes.

Based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries book series by Nancy Springer, Enola is brought up by her mother to use her naturally gifted intelligence toward a variety of disciplines, including archery and fencing, instead of raising her to follow the usual societal expectations. After Enola's mother goes missing, the young girl sets out to discover what exactly happened to her, running into all manner of peril along the way.

The trailer sees Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin portray Sherlock and Mycroft, respectively, with the two brothers disagreeing on how to treat Enola in their mother's absence. Sherlock quickly recognizes Enola's heightened intelligence, while a frustrated Mycroft has her remanded to a finishing school to be raised as "a proper lady" before a defiant Enola rebels.

While Sherlock Holmes exists in the public domain, the Conan Doyle Estate has filed a lawsuit against Netflix and Springer over its depiction of Sherlock in the film. The lawsuit argues that the character shows more emotion in the film than the literary incarnation it still holds a copyright claim to.
