Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill are returning for an Enola Holmes sequel.

From Legendary Entertainment and Netflix, the sequel to the Sherlock Holmes-inspired film will bring back original stars Brown and Cavill, along with writer Jack Thorne and director Harry Bradbeer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The sequel will continue the adventures of Enola Holmes, played by Brown, the rebellious younger sister of Sherlock (Cavill) and Mycroft Holmes.

As of now, no other cast members have been confirmed for the Enola Holmes sequel. Brown will also return as a producer, along with Legendary's Mary Parent, Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes.

The original film was based on Nancy Springer's young adult series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries, which is comprised of six books. Brown has stated in previous interviews that she's wanted to play the character of Enola Holmes since she discovered the series as an 11-year-old. When asked if she'd return for a sequel, Brown said, "Yeah, there's more of the story to be told. The story isn't over yet. She isn't grown up, there's no conclusion."

Following its Sept. 2020 release, Netflix revealed that Enola Holmes brought in 76 million household views within its first 28 days on the streaming service, the largest viewership numbers for Netflix's third-quarter in 2020, along with the first season of Cobra Kai.

Enola Holmes stars Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Burn Gorman and Susan Wokoma. The film is streaming now on Netflix.
