Ennis & Braun Reuniting "All-Star Section 8's" Six-Pack and Dogwelder for New Series

DC is launching a sendup to "Green Lantern/Green Arrow's" Hard-Traveling Heroes era, with "All-Star Section Eight" characters.

Garth Ennis ("Preacher") is returning to his fan-favorite "All-Star Section Eight" characters, alongside artist Russ Braun ("Dead Boy Detectives"), for a new series that takes team members Six-Pack and Dogwelder on the road for a sendup to the Bronze Age-era of "Green Lantern/Green Arrow."

According to Weird Science, the six-issue miniseries -- titled "Six-Pack and Dogwelder: Hard-Traveling Heroz" -- not only brings Six-Pack and Dogwelder back to the page, but it also sees the return of Bueno Excellente and Guts, who are newlyweds "dealing with some infidelity issues" in the new series.

COMING IN AUGUST: In the tradition of the original Hard-Traveling Heroes, Green Lantern and Green Arrow, Sixpack and Dogwelder are ready to bring their allegedly socially aware brand of justice to the lands beyond Gotham City!

After the events of ALL-STAR SECTION EIGHT, Sixpack is fighting to keep what's left of his team together. Dogwelder has gone in search of his past, while newlyweds Bueno Excellente and Guts are dealing with some fidelity issues. Could Section Eight be done for good?

But everything changes when a mysterious trenchcoat-wearing chain smoker offers our favorite dog enthusiast some clues about his true nature. Is Dogwelder everything he seems? Or is he meant for something greater?
