DC is closing out 2020 with a new event series titled the Endless Winter. The first reveal of this upcoming event was released in the DC Connect #4 online magazine, which previews upcoming comics and storylines each month. CBR has confirmed that this is DC's next major event, though specific details remain under wraps for now.

The current blockbuster event reshaping the DC Universe is Dark Nights: Death Metal by writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo. Death Metal is a sequel to Dark Nights: Metal, and sees Perpetua and the Batman Who Laughs twist the DCU for their own nefarious machinations.

The Endless Winter promo art keeps things simple with the event's name and the month and year of "December 2020."Frozen blue ice cover the entire image, which could provide clues as to what type of threat will befall the DCU come the end of the year.

A character that does go by the alias Endless Winter does exist in the DCU. Delores Winters has moisture and temperature manipulation powers, allowing her to produce ice and cold attacks. Created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Delores Winter first appeared in 1940's Action Comics #20 and as Endless Winter in 2007's JSA Classified #19.
