Two new images have surfaced for DC's upcoming Endless Winter event. The images feature Batman and Wonder Woman in winter-themed gear, hewing closely to the event's title. Batman sports a long white coat and a grayish Batsuit; Wonder Woman wears a fur-lined cape and carries a massive battle ax in addition to her usual sword and shield.
The teasers also carry brief lines of dialogue. Batman's teaser features the line, "You can't bury the past forever." Wonder Woman's is far more ominous: "We thought he was dead. But he's back."
Little is known about Endless Winter aside from its December debut date. Much like the original teaser image, a thick layer of blue ice covers the background. Details about the image were first revealed in DC Connect #4, the magazine used for solicits of future DC titles.
A character that does go by the alias Endless Winter exists in the DC Universe. The brainchild of Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Delores Winters has the ability to control moisture and temperature. This allows her to produce extreme ice and cold. Endless Winter first appeared in 1940's Action Comics #20, with subsequent appearances in JSA Classified and Justice League: Cry for Justice.
Endless Winter will go on sale this December from DC Comics.
