Colonel James Rupert "Rhodey" Rhodes/War Machine is prepared for a space battle in newly released concept art from Avengers: Endgame.
Shared by artist Phil Saunders, the two pieces of concept art show War Machine with some noticeable additions to his suit. "Unused concept for Rhodey’s War Machine Mk5 'Cosmic' suit for Avengers: Endgame," Saunders said. "Originally the final battle would have taken place in outer space so I developed this booster pack for what was at the time the approved Mk5 design."
Saunders has worked as a concept artist on many Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2016's Captain America: Civil War and 2018's Avengers: Infinity War. He will also serve as a concept artist on the upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision as well as the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
While Terrence Howard first portrayed Rhodey Rhodes in 2003's Iron Man, Don Cheadle played the character in all subsequent appearances. Cheadle's War Machine has made appearances in Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Captain Marvel. There is no word if War Machine will appear in any upcoming Marvel films or television shows.

The film is now available on Digital HD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
