WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Empyre #5 by Al Ewing, Dan Slott, Valerio Schiti, Marte Gracia, & VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale now.

The conclusion of Empyre #5, the penultimate issue in the Marvel cosmic blockbuster event, saw Tony Stark unveil a new Iron Man armor. However, instead of donning the armor himself, Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four is the hero wearing the armor. Now, Marvel has revealed concept art by Empyre's Valerio Schiti that displays the Iron Man Fantastic Four armor's unique ability.

The blue and grey armor is designed like your typical Iron Man armor. Where Iron Man's trademark chest plate would rest, the signature Fantastic Four logo takes its place. Of course, the big standout ability is this armor is capable of stretching to match Reed Richards' powers. The superhero costumes that the Fantastic Four wears are made of unstable molecules, which allows each member to use their powers while having their super-suits adapt. For example, Mister Fantastic's costume stretches, the Human Torch's costume doesn't catch on fire and Invisible Woman's suit also goes invisible.

Iron Man and Mister Fantastic only have nine minutes to save the world before the evil plant-like Cotati force their sun to explode. Tony Stark feels responsible for being deceived by the Cotati, which allowed the aliens to attack the Avengers and Kree/Skrull alliance on the former Blue Area of the Moon. He has since dedicated himself to coming up with a plan to help Earth's Mightiest Heroes win this war, and this new armor will most likely play a major role in Empyre #6.
