A long-missing Avenger may return in an upcoming issue of Empyre.

In a sneak peek for their upcoming May comic issues, Marvel revealed a preview of the cover for Empyre #3. The cover showcases the Avengers and the Fantastic Four taking on members of the Kree-Skrull alliance, and the solicitation teases the return of a long-lost Avenger. While it is not clear who that Avenger is, Mar-Vell appears to be on the cover of the issue in a redesigned costume.
