The Season 4 update for Zynga and Small Giant Games' Empires & Puzzles is taking a cue from iconic author Jules Verne's "Extraordinary Voyages" collection.

The aptly titled Voyagers of the Underwild update is inspired by the likes of Journey to the Center of the Earth and Around the World in 80 Days, featuring 36 new provinces, 16 heroes at launch (with more arriving monthly), the Underwild Gem family bonus and more.

"I’m really excited that our players get to explore this mysterious and vast Underwild inspired by such a well respected author as Jules Verne," Small Giant Games Managing Directro Jose Saarniniemi said. "With unexplored caverns, new heroes and familiar character depictions from a selection of some of his finest novels, players will be uncovering an array of new features, lands and challenges in our Season 4 update."

In addition to the new characters, players can expect to encounter familiar faces from Jules Verne tales, such as Phileas Fogg and Professor Lidenbrock.

Empires & Puzzles is a completely new take on RPG games, combining match-3 battles and building a mighty stronghold – topped with thrilling PVP duels and massive alliance wars. It’s a game that is very easy to start but offers deep tactical gameplay spiced with an amazing amount of heroes, dragons and monsters to collect and fight.

Developed by Zynga, Empires & Puzzles is available on iOS and Google Play. The Season 4 update launches March 25.
