Emojis are making the jump from your phone to a theater near you. Sony dropped the first teaser trailer for "Emojimovie: Express Yourself," which features a resounding Meh.

That's right: the Meh emoji has landed the job of hyping audiences up for the upcoming film. "It's a pleasure to announce our first movie," he announces with a monotone. "It's almost too thrilling for words." But he's "positively euphoric" to be a part of this movie -- honest!

A few other emojis guest star in the quick promo, including an ice cream emoji, a cookie emoji and the ever-present poop emoji. The spot is also filmed as though it were taken on a phone, complete with black bars on each side of the footage to indicate that it was filmed vertically.

But these won't be the only emojis to star in the film. "Deadpool's" T.J. Miller will play a character named Gene, the son of “meh” emoji parents who was born as an overly enthusiastic glitch -- which means his character could very well be related to the one we see in the video above.

Set for release on August 11, 2017, the film follows the secret lives that emojis live inside our phones.
