Emma Stone denied reports that she'll reprise her role as Gwen Stacy in Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: No Way Home.

"I have heard those rumors," Stone told MTV News. "I don't know if I'm supposed to say anything, but I'm not [involved]. I don't know what you're supposed to respond as an alumnus."

Stone is not the only Amazing Spider-Man cast member to play coy on whether they'd reprise their role in No Way Home. Andrew Garfield, who portrayed Peter Parker in both Amazing Spider-Man films, has gone back and forth on whether he'd appear in the film. "As a pure fan to have... it's a really cool idea. But yeah, as I've said previously, it's not something that I, you know, I don't... God. I hate being given the responsibility of disappointing people," Garfield said in early May.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has been rumored to feature various characters from the previous Spider-Man film series by Sam Raimi and Marc Webb, and those confirmed to return include Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx as Electro. Plot details remain scarce, though the film looks to be placing Tom Holland's web-slinger through the wringer.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx as Electro. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 17.
