At the time of this writing, ECCC 2020 will continue as scheduled from March 12-15 at the Washington State Convention Center (WSCC) in downtown Seattle. For those attending, ECCC noted how the show will be implementing "enhanced cleaning and sanitization," which extends to "adhering to the recommendations set forth in the U.S. EPA’s Emerging Pathogen Policy regarding cleaning disinfectants effective against the COVID- 19 virus."

"As ECCC approaches we will be constantly reviewing our health protection activities, public health messaging, hygiene and medical control measures with the aim of strengthening our COVID-19 response further in line with up to date public health advice and guidance, including that of the CDC," the statement notes.

The coronavirus has forced a number of other conventions and events to reschedule or cancel, including the Game Developers Conference, which was due to take place in March as well. New Japan Pro-Wrestling also has had to cancel several shows and Disney has temporarily shut down operations at a few of its parks to combat the further risk of the virus spreading. Hollywood has also been impacted, with several movie productions being suspended, as well as China's No Time to Die premiere being canceled.
