Emerald City Comic Con introduces new restroom policy

After listening to feedback from past attendees, Emerald City Comic Con will make an effort to be more inclusive by offering gender-neutral bathrooms, in addition to men's and women's restrooms.

In an official statement on the convention's Tumblr account, the showrunners explained:

We want to make ECCC a welcoming and inclusive place for all attendees, and with that in mind we are proud to introduce the official re-branding of our restroom facilities including the addition of All Gender Restrooms. These restrooms are designated gender neutral, and are available to all attendees.

ECCC has taken strides in the past to make their convention friendly to all attendees, including their "Cosplay is Not Consent" campaign last year. Emerald City Comicon will take place March 27 to March 29 at the Washington State Convention Center.
