Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch evoke Superman II in the first official look at the Man of Steel and Lois Lane from the upcoming Arrowverse crossover "Elseworlds."

In her white, flowing dress, Tulloch undeniably channels Margot Kidder from the 1980 movie classic, while the icy backdrop is clearly intended to make fans nostalgic for the Fortress of Solitude.

TV Insider teases the classic couple will be courting each other "in a very interesting locale" when they're brought into the Arrowverse crossover, which, given the photo backdrop, will undoubtedly send fans' minds to Superman's traditional place of solace in the Arctic.

Few concrete details have been revealed about the plot of the three-night event, leaving fans to piece together the clues from casting and leaked set photos. In addition to Tulloch, "Elseworlds" introduces Ruby Rose as Batwoman, who has her sights set on a CW solo series, and LaMonica Garrett as the Monitor, a character best known to comics fans from DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths.

We also know that there will be alternate versions of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), both in which they swap superhero identities, and become the biker duo the Trigger Twins, and that Hoechlin will play the Man of Steel and his black suit-clad doppelganger.

"Elseworlds" kicks off Sunday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT with The Flash, and continues Monday, Dec. 10, with Arrow and Tuesday, Dec. 11, with Supergirl.
