According to Arrow star Stephen Amell, this year's three-show Arrowverse crossover "Elseworlds" has a big reference to The CW's DCTV series Smallville.

In a video on his Facebook page, Amell mentioned the upcoming crossover wouldn't feature a reunion with the Smallville cast but teased different Easter eggs to the Superman origin series, including one that left him shocked.

"It is not a Smallville reunion, although I think it becomes pretty clear in the promos for the crossover that there are Smallville elements, at least, in terms of location. And if you're a fan of Smallville, and I have no idea if they're going to keep this in the final cut, but there's a treat for you in there," Amell explained. "As someone who wasn't a diehard fan of Smallville, this moment in the crossover made me jump out of my seat. If you're a fan of Smallville, you may want to put down rubber sheets or something like that, because, quite frankly, you might piss your pants."

While Amell was seen last week with Smallville stars Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum, he later clarified that he was meeting with the actors in regards to his wine label Nocking Point and not a televised reunion.

This year's Arrowverse crossover event will involve the casts of Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash. The event will unfold over three nights, starting with a special episode of The Flash on Sunday December 9 at 8 pm ET/PT. Then, it continues Monday, December 10, with Arrow, and concludes on Tuesday, December 11, with Supergirl.
