Roswell, New Mexico has added Cassandra Jean Amell to its cast for Season 2.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amell will recur as Louise, an alien seeking refuge in 1947 Roswell. While there, she will find her earthly hosts less welcoming than she anticipated and will be forced to fight for her family's life after she is separated from her children.
Amell is no stranger to The CW. She recently guest starred as Nora Fries on Supergirl and Arrow during the 2018 crossover "Elseworlds," where she appeared opposite her husband Stephen Amell. She has also appeared on Hart of Dixie and One Tree Hill.
Roswell, New Mexico is based on the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz. The books also served as the source material for the original Roswell series, which ran between 1999 and 2002. The reboot premiered in 2018 and earned a Season 2 renewal in late April 2019.
Roswell, New Mexico stars Jeanine Mason, Nathan Parsons, Michael Vlamis, Lily Cowles, Tyler Blackburn, Heather Hemmens, Michael Trevino and Trevor St. John. Season 2 is set to premiere in early 2020 on The CW. Season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
