Elizabeth Olsen is asking fans to get proactive if they want to see Scarlet Witch return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Olsen jokingly requests that superhero enthusiasts who want to see Wanda Maximoff return to the big screen scare Marvel Studios into getting it done. "I should come back. But I really don’t know," Olsen said when asked if she knows about Scarlet Witch's future. "I want like, fans to be so aggressive, like terrify them [Marvel] into doing it or something. I mean… that’s not a good way to do anything actually."

This isn't the first time Olsen has asked fans to make their voices heard. The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star requested that followers of the ever-growing MCU continue to gossip about Scarlet Witch's potential return in a future project. "Keep spreading rumors and maybe they'll hire me again," Olsen quipped.

Wanda's fate in Multiverse of Madness suggests that the character won't be making a return any time soon, having been crushed underneath Mount Wundergore. Despite her apparent death, many fans are convinced that she somehow survived, given that her body was not revealed following the film's climactic battle. Olsen has stated that she's satisfied with her character's arc, noting that her demise was a necessary conclusion to Scarlet Witch's story. "I am [satisfied]," Olsen said. "I think somehow it needed to end where it ends at some point, and I’m curious about where we go from there."

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness portrayed Scarlet Witch in a light that shocked many fans. Following the events of WandaVision, Wanda becomes corrupted by the magic of the Darkhold, beginning a violent and bloody quest to venture out across alternate realities to reunite with her children, Billy and Tommy. Many devotees of the MCU criticized the character's arc, believing that it undermined her emotional journey in WandaVision.

Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron addressed these complaints, placing Scarlet Witch's motivations in a more specific context. "My interpretation of WandaVision is that she confronts her grief and she lets go of the people she has under her control, but I don't think she necessarily resolves her grief in that show, and I don't think she resolves her anger," Waldron explained. "Maybe she's able to say goodbye to Vision, but I think she's really just fallen in love with those kids."

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now streaming on Disney+.
