An artist shared her fan art of Blaidd the Half-Wolf on Twitter, and it looks like the Elden Ring team caught wind of it and shared it on their page.
Teresa Ramos (@teradiamart) posted her drawing of a dignified-looking Blaidd on April 20 with the caption, "The cold always bothered him anyway...". Five days later, the Elden Ring team shared her drawing to their Twitter account with the additional caption, "What harm can be done...to a shadow?" It's an incredibly detailed piece, seeming to show Blaidd as if he posed for a regal portrait, with his fur-collared armor and glowing blue eyes. The image can be seen below.
Blaidd is a half-wolf warrior in service to Lunar Princess Ranni, a four-armed witch. Her faithful defender, Blaidd, was crafted by the Two Fingers as a vassel for Ranni. He is incapable of treachery towards her, as she is one of the Greater Will's three Empyreans candidates to replace her step-mother, Queen Marika the Eternal, as the God of a new age. However, Blaidd is unaware that a failsafe was placed within him, ensuring he will start to go mad should Ranni choose not to embrace her destiny as set out by the Greater Will, posing a threat to his charge.
Because of Ranni's prominence in the game, players get several opportunities to interact with Blaidd, should they play through the Lunar Princess' story. He is a devoted servant to Ranni and assists the player on multiple occasions while trying to complete Ranni's quest, which is one of Elden Ring's most complex but worthwhile to experience.
Ramos' stunning painting is far from the only bit of art made by fans of Elden Ring, even if it is one of the first to be shared by the game's team. One fan recently drew incredible fan art in celebration of Elden Ring's release inspired by the poster for Akira. This one featured Elden Ring's protagonist, the Tarnished, as they walk towards an armored horse. Another artist beautifully captured the elegance of the terrifying but beautiful Malenia, Blade of Miquella, who is considered one of the most challenging bosses in the game.
For fans interested in seeing Blaidd in action or simply diving into the fantasy world of the Lands Between, Elden Ring is available to play now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
