One dedicated and talented Elden Ring fan displayed their love of two of the game's most popular NPCs -- Lunar Princess Ranni and her werewolf bodyguard, Blaidd -- with a gorgeous piece of art depicting the pair at rest in an idyllic autumn scene.

Chinese artist Yuyu Wong posted the digital painting to their Artstation page, along with the brief caption, "Blazer, do you long for starry nights?" The lovely, picturesque scene of Ranni and Blaidd chatting in the forest is probably far more peaceful and relaxing than anything in the actual game Elden Ring, but it makes for a nice change of pace to see some characters from this particularly dark universe having a nice day out in the sunlight. The duo is accompanied by some adorable wolf pups, as well, with one snoozing in Ranni's lap while another two snuggle up to her werewolf consort.

Wong's attention to detail is stunning, with Blaidd's huge sword and intricate, layered armor looking like perfect recreations of the powerful gear he carries in the game. Meanwhile, the blue-skinned, four-armed demigod Ranni is wearing her iconic white outfit, complete with a witch's hat so big that its tip makes Ranni a good two feet taller and its brim hangs so far past her shoulders it often hides her entire face. The pair sit chatting in the dappled sunlight atop the crumbled ruins of ancient statues. All in all, the fantasy on display represents a far more inviting and lighthearted take on life in the Lands Between than the game itself.

Elden Ring Players Love Making Fan Art

Since its release in February, Elden Ring has quickly become one of the most popular and influential video games of recent years. Unsurprisingly, the game's extensive lore and huge cast of characters have inspired fans around the world to pay tribute to From Software's masterpiece with their own creations. Other fan creation standouts include picture-perfect Malenia, Blade of Miquella cosplay and gorgeous Churches of Marika art. Without a doubt, the massive, breathtaking world of Elden Ring will continue to inspire gamers for years to come.

Whether DLC will eventually make that world even bigger has been a matter of some controversy recently. Bandai Namco was hacked in July, and shortly afterward, the publisher's entire slate of upcoming releases was leaked to the press. The leak included DLC for Elden Ring and claimed it was scheduled for the third quarter of 2023. However, many were quick to question the legitimacy of the information, and Bandai Namco has called the leak a hoax. At the time of publication, it is still unclear whether the leak was legitimate.

Elden Ring is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, the Steam Deck and PC.
