Jesse Eisenberg does not mince words, as superhero fans learned right after his appearance at Comic-Con International this year. So when the straight-shooting Eisenberg doles out praise for Warner Bros.' "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," you're inclined to believe him.

The actor, who plays Lex Luthor in the Zack Snyder-directed film, appeared on NBC's "Today Show" and chatted briefly about the film, offering up a lot of praise for the 2016 superhero film.

"Yes, it is like the most incredible character," Jesse said of Luthor. "It was written by this guy, Chris Terrio -- this is like his first movie after 'Argo.' He's just this brilliant writer of characters. So this movie is, you know, it's not like a kind of cartoonish superhero movie. It's this very serious and well acted, well written, well directed movie. It's really phenomenal."

You can see Eisenberg's full interview, wherein he also talks about his short story collection "Bream Gives Me Hiccups," below. Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to open on March 25, 2016.
