It's been almost a year since Eddie Murphy announced he would like to see Beverly Hills Cop turned into a television series. In that time almost nothing has been said about the project. However now Vulture reports the series is actually being shopping around this week by Murphy, The Shield creator Shawn Ryan and Sony Pictures Television.

Ryan has a solid television track record, ranging from Nash Bridges and Angel to The Shield and Terriers. Murphy and Ryan will executive produces the series and Mur,phy will most likely appear in the pilot, although we don't know in what capacity.
