Jennifer Blood, the vigilante created by Garth Ennis that spends her days as a suburban wife and mother, returns in a new Dynamite ongoing series written by Fred Van Lente and illustrated by Vincenzo Federici.

Jennifer Blood #1 finds the titular character in Bountiful, Utah, a secret haven of retired crimelords that provides multiple targets for her lethal brand of justice. For protection, the mobsters call on their own attacker, Giulietta Romeo, to track down the mysterious killer who has been taking them down in violent ways.

"To bring back Jennifer Blood I really wanted to come up with a setting worthy of her," Fred Van Lente said. "The town of Bountiful is like the suburb at the end of Goodfellas, full of Ray Liottas who have cut a deal with the Feds. But Jennifer Blood doesn't cut deals, she just brings spectacularly gory vengeance to criminals who thought they'd escaped justice. Vincenzo Federici brings such a raw, grindhouse energy to this, readers are going to have such a bloody good time."

"This opportunity is incredible for many reasons! First of all Jennifer Blood is a Garth Ennis character!" Federici added. "Then, I'm in love with Fred's work after I had the opportunity to work with him previously. This new story is totally crazy! Stay tuned, you'll see!"

Created by Garth Ennis, Jennifer Blood debuted in her eponymous title in 2011. She last appeared in the horror-crime comic DIE!namite Lives this past June.
