The fallout continues from Dynamite Entertainment's association with Comicsgate, as the publisher has now canceled at least some of its programming planned for Comic-Con@Home.

The night before the online convention's virtual opening Wednesday, two of Dynamite's scheduled panels were shown as canceled on the convention's programming schedule. The first, "James Bond - 007 in Comics!" was originally scheduled for Thursday morning, while "Dynamite's Two Huge Crossovers Revealed!" was slated for Saturday morning.

The cancellations come in the aftermath of other recent Comicsgate-related controversies involving the publisher. On Saturday, Red Sonja writer Mark Russell announced he was severing his ties with the company following the expiration of his contract. On Sunday, Dynamite Publisher and CEO Nick Barrucci announced the company was pulling a planned variant cover for Vengeance of Vampirella #1 featuring Comicsgate character Cecil.

Dynamite has faced increasing criticism in recent days for the publisher's support of Comicsgate projects. Other creators such as Gail Simone and Christian Ward have recently stated their concern over the publisher's ties to the organization.

Comicsgate is a movement that has historically pushed back against diversity in the comic industry, aimed at both creators and storylines featuring characters of diverse backgrounds, and has been described as a "consumer-led revolt" against "forced diversification" of the industry. Many creators have spoken out against the movement.

Comic-Con@Home is currently underway through July 26, with online programming beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
