Star Dylan O'Brien was hospitalized Thursday after suffering multiple injuries on the Vancouver, British Columbia, set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure."

TMZ reports the 24-year-old was struck by a car when a scene he was filming went wrong, and he may have suffered multiple broken bones. Deadline gets more specific, saying O'Brien "fractured either his cheekbone or orbital socket."

Fox has confirmed he's being treated following an injury on set, but hasn't released details. "Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers," the studio said in a statement. "Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."

The third installment of the post-apocalyptic action franchise, "The Death Cure" is set to open Feb. 17, 2017.
