It seems the first trailer for the Dwayne Johnson-led Rampage film could be attached to Justice League, which releases next week from Warner Bros. Pictures.
TrailerTracks reports the Rampage trailer has been rated by the Manitoba Film Classification Board, which means a release date is imminent. With only a month left in 2017 and WB set to release a tentpole film like Justice League in theaters on November 17, the odds for the trailer to be attached to the DC Comics-based superhero film are fairly good.
The film is based on the 1986 arcade game of the same name by Bally Midway. In the game, players control a trio of monsters who were once human, but now rack up points by destroying city infrastructure, smashing military vehicles and eating people. The game has seen various sequels, spinoffs and rereleases across numerous consoles, including everything from the Atari 2600 to the iOS ecosystem.
Debuting in theaters on April 20, 2018, Rampage is a production of New Line Cinema directed by Brad Peyton and starring Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
