Ever since he was cast as Black Adam for the DC Extended Universe film, Dwayne Johnson has been teasing the power of the titular antihero, even going so far as to say that "The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change." Now he may just have the legs to actually do it.

Johnson has been getting into shape for the movie and posted his gains on his Instagram. "Midnight oil burners and training hard/dialing in my conditioning for BLACK ADAM. Always be grateful for the grind and remember to have some fun along the way," he wrote while showcasing his ripped legs.

This is the latest update from Johnson regarding his workout routine for Black Adam. He has posted a couple of photos showcasing the muscular physique he is building for the film, not that he really needed it before.

While plot details for the film are under wraps, the movie is confirmed to feature members of the Justice Society of America, including Aldis Hodge's HawkmanQuintessa Swindell' CycloneNoah Centineo's Atom Smasher and Doctor Fate, a role that has yet to be cast. Sarah Shahi has also joined the cast, but her role is yet to be confirmed. However, her DC Comics research point to her portraying Isis, an Egyptian woman who is turned into a godlike being thanks to the Amulet of Isis. There are also reports that, if Black Adam does well at the box office, DC will move forward with a Justice Society spinoff.

Black Adam is one of many films Warner Bros. and DC have in the works based on their iconic comic book characters, including The Batman, The Suicide Squad, The Flash, Aquaman 2, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, New Gods, Batgirl, Static Shock, The Trench and Wonder Woman 3. The company also has TV spinoff series based The Batman and The Suicide Squad character Peacemaker going to HBO Max, along with Zack Snyder's Justice League, the director's cut of the 2017 film.

Black Adam lost its release date due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, filming is set to begin this coming spring.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell and Sarah Shahi. The film has yet to receive a release date.
