Dwayne Johnson Packs a Punch in Jumanji Stunt Photos

We may have to wait a little longer than originally planned for the new "Jumanji" movie, but that doesn't mean we have to be without a look at Dwayne Johnson in action.

The film's star has posted photos of himself kicking a little butt on set, and revealed just a little bit about the plot in the process.

""Been shooting 'Jumanji' for months now and I've been waiting patiently for this night to come," Johnson wrote on his Instagram page. "In the original movie, the world of 'Jumanji' came to us. Now 20yrs later in our continuation of the story, we go to the amazing and deadly world of Jumanji.

"For months we've shot everything," he continued, "all the comedy, all the jungle action and all the heart. Finally, tonight -- Saturday night -- all night -- I get to knuckle up with my stunt brothers and I get to beat some ass like a drum."

Directed by Jake Kasdan (“Bad Teacher”), the film is a “continuation” of the 1995 comedy classic starring Robin Williams, which itself is an adaptation of the 1981 children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. The original centered on a young boy named Alan Parrish, who becomes trapped in a board game while playing with his best friend Sarah Whittle. Nearly three decades later, two siblings discover the game and unwittingly release the now-adult Alan (Williams). After finding Sarah, they work together to finish the game in hopes of undoing all of the destruction it unleashed.

Opening Christmas 2017, the new “Jumanji” reportedly revolves around four teens who play the game, and control the avatars of stars Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan. Nick Jonas also stars.

Doin' dirt with my stunt brothers tonight. Rehearsals before the bodies hit the floor... I'm searching for a good spot to break his leg with one shot. This scene also looks like what happens when too many drugs are taken at a party. Just say no. #OnSet #HowISpendMySaturdayNights #FightNight #Jumanji
