He's no stranger to stunt work, but Dwayne Johnson's latest part is taking things to a whole new level.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johnson is in negotiations to star in a remake of The Fall Guy, the Lee Majors television series that aired on ABC from 1981 to 1986. He would play a Hollywood stuntman who rakes in extra income as a bounty hunter, assisted by his cousin and a beautiful stuntwoman.

Terminator Salvation and This Means War director McG is the man behind the lens on The Fall Guy, helming the project for Hyde Park Entertainment and WWE Studios. The film is based on a draft written by Zack Stentz and Ashley Edward Miller, the same team behind the Thor and X-Men: First Class scripts.

There's no word on when production will begin, but producers are shopping The Fall Guy to foreign buyers this week at the Toronto Film Festival.
