Warner Bros. has unearthed the intense second trailer for "San Andreas," the action-thriller that appears determined to outdo all of the other disaster films that came before it. There are massive earthquakes, explosions, tidal waves, underwater rescues .... and in the middle of it, The Rock.

In the film, directed Brad Peyton ("Journey 2: The Mysterious Island"), the San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, which -- as Paul Giamatti stresses in the trailer -- is just the beginning of the devastation. Dwayne Johnson stars as a search-and-rescue pilot who travels with his estranged wife from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their daughter as their world crumbles around them.

Opening May 29, "San Andreas" also stars Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Archie Panjabi, Hugo Johnstone-Burt and Art Parkinson.
