Wizards of the Coast and Tuque Games have collaborated for a new video game tie-in to Dungeons & Dragons, a third-person action RPG titled Dark Alliance.

Dark Alliance will focus on Drizzt Do'Urden, a hero created by author R.A. Salvatore for Dungeon & Dragons' Forgotten Realms campaign setting. The game's story is described as a "spiritual successor" to the popular Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance game and its sequel, which were released in 2001 and 2004. Players can play as Drizzt Do'Urden or one of his companions Catti-Brie, Bruenor or Wulfgar in online or couch co-op. The gameplay promises to merge "the pulse-pounding action of a hack-and-slash dungeon crawler with the progression and loot systems of a role-playing game."
