Zendaya has revealed a new look at her Dune character, Chani Kynes.

The star shared a still of herself from the film on her Instagram account, with a singular caption: "Dune." Chani is shown wearing an armored stillsuit and a cloak, while holding a mask meant to keep out the harsh elements of the desert planet Arrakis. Her striking blue eyes also stand out amongst the grey atmosphere.

In the Dune novel, Chani appears to Paul Atreides in visions, pushing him toward his destiny as "Muad'Dib," the central figure of a new religion that will reshape the universe. The two would later marry and have a son, Leto. Chani is a member of the Fremen, the natives of Arrakis. Perceived as primitives by the rest of the universe, they are in fact a cunning people who have learned to adapt to the harsh desert environment.

Given the attention to detail and the decision to adapt the novel over the course of two films, director Denis Villeneuve appears to honor the spirit of Frank Herbert's novel.
