A stunning new poster has been unveiled for the long-awaited Dune film from director Denis Villeneuve.

Released by IMAX one month out from Dune's scheduled October premiere, the poster shows off the film's protagonist Paul (played by Timothée Chalamet) traversing the sands of the desert planet Arrakis. This planet is where the majority of the movie is set to take place, which viewers will be able to experience in the immersive wide-screen format of IMAX theaters.

After Dune's theatrical release faced multiple delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this latest poster joins a barrage of others as part of the film's lengthy promotional campaign. Most recently, Warner Bros. Pictures dropped a poster displaying the film's many characters, including Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica and Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck. Also among the characters featured in the ensemble poster was Chanti, whose actor, Zendaya, mentioned in an interview that her part in the film is "very, very small," and that she was only on set for a total of four days.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune is scheduled to land in theaters, as well as for a limited time on the HBO Max streaming service, beginning Oct. 22.
