Never mind all the curious creatures, the 2018 sequel to "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" is set to feature the return of one of the best loved and most missed characters in the "Harry Potter" universe in the form of a young Albus Dumbledore.

Director David Yates, who is currently set work on the film's sequel too, revealed that the future Headmaster of Hogwarts would be returning at a roundtable discussion with journalists ahead of the release of "Fantastic Beasts," as reported by Screenrant.

Yates did not name any actor in association with the new role, played by Richard Harris, Michael Gambon and Toby Regbo in the original film series, but Johnny Depp has already been announced for another role in "Fantastic Beasts 2."

The sequel is one of five films set in the Potterverse set to follow in the wake of "Fantastic Beasts."

Aside from the identity of the actor who will eventually play young Dumbledore, the other question that will intrigue many Potter fans is whether or not he will get an on-screen love interest. Potter writer J.K. Rowling revealed that Dumbledore is gay shortly after the publication of the last book in the Harry Potter Series.

Starring Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, Gemma Chan and Ezra Miller, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" opens on November 18.
