The series finale of DuckTales will lead into a new ongoing scripted podcast series for kids and families titled "This Duckburg Life."
The seven-part podcast is hosted by Huey Duck for "Duckburg Public Radio" and will be available every Monday following the premiere on Monday, March 29 and highlights. riveting stories from Duckburg. The DuckTales voice cast reprising their roles in the podcast include David Tennant (Scrooge McDuck), Danny Pudi (Huey), Ben Schwartz (Dewey), Bobby Moynihan (Louie), Kate Micucci (Webby Vanderquack), Beck Bennett (Launchpad McQuack), Toks Olagundoye (Mrs. Beakley), Jim Rash (Gyro Gearloose), Josh Brener (Mark Beaks), Margo Martindale (Ma Beagle) and Disney Legend Tony Anselmo (Donald Duck).

Disney confirmed DuckTales would end with Season 3 back in December 2020. However, it wasn't due to a cancellation. Instead, the DuckTales creative team felt it was the proper place to end the show's storyline.
"The talented creative team, led by Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones, have delivered exceptional storytelling with uniquely reimagined characters for three seasons of 75 episodes and more than 15 shorts," Disney representatives said in a statement. "While physical production has wrapped, DuckTales continues to be available daily on Disney Channels and Disney+ around the world and fans will get an epic season finale in 2021."
The oversized series finale of DuckTales is scheduled to air March 15 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD.
Debuting in 2017, Disney XD's new take on DuckTales paid homage to various animated series from The Disney Afternoon lineup, including Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Tailspin, Quack Pack, Goof Troop, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck.

Based on the 1987 series of the same name, DuckTales stars the voices of David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye, Tony Anselmo and Paget Brewster. All current seasons are available to stream on Disney+ and there are no current plans to remove the series from the platform.
