After it premiered back in 2017, the current DuckTales series solved one of its biggest mysteries: the disappearance of Donald Duck's sister Della. In the Season 1 finale, viewers learned Della was stuck on the moon. But how did Della survive for so long? A new clip from the upcoming March premiere finally gives fans the answer.

As the clip opens, Della awakens on the moon, panicking as she realizes her situation. As she beings gasping for air, she realizes her leg is caught under a piece of machinery. The viewer gets her perspective of the Spear of Selene's remains, before her eyes catch sight of Oxy-Chew, a gum created Gyro Gearloose that provides oxygen as it is chewed.

With her oxygen running out, Della consumes the gum, only to discover to her disgust that it's black licorice flavored. Della then begins trying to free her leg. Her struggle loosens more components of the rocket, and a photo of her family falls next to her.

Any heartbreaking moments are put aside as Della finds herself in a seemingly life-threatening situation, with one of the rocket's thrusters dangling above her, inching closer to her as she tries to free herself. As the clip ends, Della sums up her predicament with her brother's famous catchphrase: "Aw, phooey."

Obviously, fans don't get the whole story of Della's time in space, but the clip does answer how she survived for so long. The clip also shows the more dramatic and human sides to the series, since it puts Della in a sympathetic light, and makes viewers hope she reunites with her family soon.

Starring David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye and Tony Anselmo, new episodes of DuckTales debut Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. ET/PT on Disney Channel.
