Disney's original, beloved DuckTales animated series premiered on Sept. 18, 1987 -- making today the 30th anniversary of the show's debut.

With the new version getting a proper premiere this Saturday, Sept. 23 on Disney XD (following its debut with a one-hour special on Aug. 12), Disney has capitalized on this conspicuous week in Ducktlaes history with a new timeline infographic, seen first on CBR, celebrating the history of the series.

Starting with Huey, Dewey, and Louie's debut in a 1937 Donald Duck comic strip (meaning the nephew trio will turn 80 next month), the timeline also touches on the Uncle Scrooge comic book -- the comics work of legendary creator Carl Barks is a major influence on both incarnations of DuckTales -- and the 1990 debut of the Disney Afternoon, which was inspired by the success of DuckTales. It also touches on 1990's DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp, the first Disney MovieToons release.

The new DuckTales features the voices of Doctor Who and Marvel's Jessica Jones alum David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck, Danny Pudi as Huey, Ben Schwartz as Dewey, Bobby Moynihan as Louie, Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack, Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley and Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck. It returns this Saturday, Sept. 23 on Disney XD with two new episodes at 7 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
