"Dredd" Movie Panel From 2000AD To Kapow! Con

Already gaining momentum for its independent production and its appearance to the "mask on" brutal take on the character that was absent from the last film of the famed British comic, 2012's "Dredd" is apparantly headed home in a big way this spring.

CBR News has learned exclusively that producer Andrew MacDonald will take the first look of his Pete Travis-directed, South African-shot, Karl Urban-starring adaptation of the 2000AD comic to Mark Millar's Kapow! Comic Con.

The first look comes during a Q&A at the 2000AD panel, making send of Millar's earlier explanation of how "I love the fact that all these comic-book movies are just getting made up the road. People just need to jump in a cab to come along and talk about them, as opposed to traveling halfway across the world."

The full press release is below. For more on Kapow! Comic Con and "Dredd" be sure to stay tuned to CBR and Spinoff Online.
