The Dragon Prince Renewed for Season 3

A little over a month since the premiere of its second season and the Netflix original animated series The Dragon Prince has already been renewed for a third season.

Announced this weekend at WonderCon 2019 in Anaheim by the animation studio Wonderstorm and Netflix, the third season will reportedly see Ezran returning home to claim his destiny on the throne as Rayla and Callum approach Xadia. Meanwhile, Lord Viren discovers the extent of his influence over his new ally, Aaravos. Netflix also tweeted out the announcement of the series' renewal along with a piece of art.

No premiere date has been announced by the Netflix at this time but the upcoming season is expected to be the most epic one yet for the animated fantasy series.

Season 2 of The Dragon Prince premiered last month to critical acclaim with special attention lauded to its smoother animation style in comparison with the first season, blending CGI with cel-shaded animation.
