With its first major update, the popular video game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has officially entered the era of the latest canonical anime series Dragon Ball Super.
Bandai Namco has released the launch trailer for the game's new story DLC "A New Power Awakens, Pt. 1." The trailer has Whis whisk Goku and Vegeta to the planet of Universe 7's God of Destruction Beerus. There, Whis puts the two Saiyans through vigorous combat training to attain the power of Super Saiyan Gods before the two duel against Beerus himself.
The developers previously confirmed that Beerus would be set at level 250 and provide an immense challenge, even for the most seasoned players.
The DLC is available today for season pass holders and those that purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game. Those who wish to purchase the DLC separately will have to wait until the release of the second part to the expansion, slated for release later this year, with both chapters available for purchase together.
Developed and published by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. "A New Power Awakens: Part 1" is now available to season pass holders.
