Dragon Ball is one of the most popular and beloved anime series of all time and it’s a property that’s been able to stay relevant for so how long because it finds many different ways to engage with its audience. Dragon Ball’s specialty is its hyperbolized action sequences and transformations, but it also indulges in other areas.

It’s safe to say that one of the most surprising moments in the series is the reveal that Vegeta and Bulma are a couple. The two find a kinship in their own odd way, but that’s not to say that they’re absolutely perfect for one another. There are several other anime figures that would very nicely fit together with Vegeta.

10 Caulifla (Dragon Ball Super)

Super Saiyan 2 Caulifla deflects an energy attack in Dragon Ball Super

It may seem a little disrespectful to pair Vegeta up with another character from his own series, but there’s always the possibility that Bulma meets an untimely end and Vegeta needs to move on. The introduction of Universe 6 and new Saiyans to Dragon Ball Super wasn’t just a big deal for fans, but also Vegeta. The Prince of Saiyans seemed to be genuinely impressed with Caulifla’s strength and progress at several moments. Bulma and Vegeta accentuate each other’s differences, but he and Caulifla would be a strong fit.

9 Jolyne Kujo (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean)

Manga JoJos Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Jolyne Kujo

One of the most unique and inventive things about the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series is that many of the new chapters look at a different member of the Joestar family as the show tells this larger generational story. Stone Ocean is the only part of the series to feature a female protagonist and the sassy Jolyne Kujo seems like exactly the kind of personality that Vegeta would be drawn towards. Jolyne is crafty, powerful, and her atypical sense of fashion may even fascinate Vegeta on some level.

8 Misato Katsuragi (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Anime Neon Genesis Evangelion Misato Katsuragi shouting into a phone

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a series that's known for not just its unconventional take on the mech genre, but also the emotional onslaught that it puts its characters through. Misato Katsuragi is a vital cog at NERV that doesn't just get worn out from her work and the state of the world, but also her unsuccessful attempts at a love life.

There's a strange affinity that could help unite Misato and Vegeta. He'd be exactly the kind of support system that she so sorely lacks throughout the series.

7 Tatsumaki (One Punch Man)

Comics One Punch Man Tatsumaki Tornado Powers

In many ways, One Punch Man functions as a parody of series like Dragon Ball, and many of the superheroes in the anime are exaggerated stereotypes. The Tornado of Terror, Tatsumaki, is one of the more competent S-Class heroes in the series and she’s definitely feared and respected in the series. Tatsumaki is strong enough that she’d be able to get Vegeta’s interest and her personality also meshes with Vegeta’s more dour energy. They may be a very reserved couple, but they’d be able to work together.

6 Nami (One Piece)

Anime One Piece Nami Crazed Look

One Piece is a peer to the Dragon Ball series in many ways. The anime is full of characters with unbelievable abilities thanks to the Devil Fruit, but it’s Nami, a master thief and navigator that seems like the most fitting match for Vegeta. Nami has a fearlessness towards adventure and it wouldn’t be difficult to picture her and Vegeta leading a crew together in space. Nami is a good fit for Vegeta, but One Piece’s Boa Hancock is probably a better match for Goku since she’s fallen for Luffy in the past.

5 Esdeath (Akame Ga Kill!)

Esdeath from Akame Ga Kill! smiling and blushing.

Akame Ga Kill! is an anime that portrays war from a very different vantage point and it's characters like Esdeath that accentuate just how brutal battle can be. Esdeath's cold and unflinching philosophy to human life helps her rise through the ranks and she's especially sadistic towards humanity.

She’s the dangerous mix of beautiful and heartless. It's fair to say the growth that Vegeta's experienced may even make him come across as a little soft in comparison to Esdeath, which would give the ambitious duo very interesting energy.

4 Nemuri Kamaya (My Hero Academia)

Anime My Hero Academia Nemuri Mist Quirk Attack

My Hero Academia is a series that may feature even more powerful characters than the Dragon Ball universe. That being said, the bulk of the individuals in the series are the growing heroes who will become the defenders of tomorrow. Nemuri Kamaya is one of the top professional heroes in the series and she lends her time to help teach students at U.A. High. Kamaya’s Sonambulist Quirk is also able to put people to sleep in a way that makes her quite dangerous in the right circumstances. Shes’ a powerful mix that Vegeta would be impressed with in many ways.

3 Balalaika (Black Lagoon)

Anime Black Lagoon Balalaika Smoking

Black Lagoon is a crime-filled action anime series that’s flown under the radar for a lot of people, but it features some incredibly vicious criminal masterminds and some deeply satisfying battles that are high in emotion and carnage. Balalaika is a character from Black Lagoon that immediately brings Vegeta to mind. They both have pasts that have ties to royalty and Balalaika manages the vicious Hotel Moscow. Balalaika’s allegiances often toe the line, but her goals of domination certainly seem like a mindset that Vegeta would understand and admire.

2 Fujiko Mine (Lupin The Third)

Anime Lupin The Third Fujiko Mine Noir

Lupin the Third is a series that’s full of thieves, grifters, and con artists, but Vegeta’s also not the type to let such social labels influence his opinion. He comes from a shady background and has caused his share of pain so it’s likely that he wouldn’t be too put off by some globetrotting criminal antics from someone as charming as Fujiko Mine. Lupin the Third has built a reputation for himself, but Fujiko is almost just as legendary for her shifty skills and gorgeous appearance. It’s hard to imagine Vegeta not falling for her.

1 Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost In The Shell)

Anime Ghost In The Shell Motoko Kusanagi Office

There are many anime series that highlight strong and powerful females that can lead the action genre and one of the best examples of this is the cybernetic Motoko Musanagi from the acclaimed Ghost in the Shell. Motoko is a legend in both the action and science fiction genre and there are few cooler individuals that feel like the proper fit for someone as battle-ready as Vegeta. Motoko’s questions of identity can even relate to Vegeta’s periodic quests to find himself. Motoko’s robotic nature may seem like an obstacle, but it’s not as if Dragon Ball hasn’t dealt with Android love before.
