10 Searched The Universe for Vegeta

His name is revealed to be Tarble and he had heard from a Namekian that Vegeta had returned to earth after defeating Frieza on Namek. The planet that Tarble was living on has been terrorized by a sibling duo named Abo and Cado and he traveled to Earth in search of his older brother to help in their defeat. Tarble tried to defeat them on his own, but he was no match for them. The enemy followed him to earth and even though Vegeta does not want to meddle in his affairs, Goku insists. Trunks wins the daikon lottery and is the one to fight for Tarble.

9 Did Not Know About The Super Saiyan Form

Anime Tarble Dragon Ball Z

Tarble is almost not able to turn Super Saiyan and saw it for the first time with his own eyes upon meeting Goku. However, due to his kind-hearted nature and being a pure-blooded Saiyan, it would be fairly easy for him to achieve the transformation, unlike his older brother, which posed some trouble in the beginning of the series.

8 Married To An Alien

After some time being exiled on this unknown planet, Tarble became comfortable and took a wife named Gure. A native of this planet, she is small in stature, polite and soft-spoken. She has rather short, only coming up to Tarble's waist, wearing a purple dress with a belt. Her character design seems a bit similar to that of Zen-Oh-sama, King Of All, from Dragon Ball Super.

7 Exiled From Planet Vegeta

Tarble in Dragon Ball Z: Yo! Son Goku and his Friends Return!!

King Vegeta was weak and ashamed of his son and exiled him to a remote planet. He appears to lack the natural aggression of the Saiyan race and therefore cannot harness his true potential or turn Super Saiyan and this is a form of embarrassment for the King. Tarble is then classified as a low-class warrior not fit for training or battle and is exiled to a remote planet on his own.

6 Was Previously Mentioned

Tarble was mentioned once in Dragon Ball Super: Battle of Gods by Bulma, since Goku needed six full-blooded Saiyans to achieve the Super Saiyan God form. Everyone thought they were short one, but in the end, Pan revealed that she was pregnant and thus, the child inside her womb was Saiyan and sufficed. Reacting to what Bulma said, Vegeta callously says he does not know his brothers' whereabouts and leaves it at that. Tarble was also casually mentioned in a conversation between young Vegeta and Nappa in Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

5 Has Some Power

Gotenks defends Tarble and Gure in Dragon Ball Z Anniversary Special.

We are not sure of Tarble's power level, but when Abo and Cado are about to matchup against Trunks and Goten, they say that Tarble 'gave them some trouble' so this means that he can hold his own in battle somewhat, just not enough to defeat them. His power level was also strong enough to be sensed by others since Android 18 did mention he felt a presence ascending to earth.

4 Still Has His Saiyan Tail

Vegeta's brother Tarble and his wife

Tarble is seen with his tail still attached and with this, one can assume that he is still able to achieve the Great Ape transformation. However, in contrast, he should not be able to achieve that of Super Saiyan being that no other in the Dragon Ball universe has been seen in this transformation with a tail intact. Not counting Super Saiyan Great Ape form that was seen in Dragon Ball GT as this was not canon.

3 Trained On His Own

Even though Tarble was exiled, it seems he still took it upon himself to train. He does have an array of attacks passed down from the Royal Vegeta Family, as seen in the mobile game Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle as well as Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2. such as Galick Gun, and Royal Family Galick Gun.

2 His Name Is A Pun (No Surprise)

Like most of the characters in the Dragon Ball universe, Tarble's name is a pun on 'vegetable', so both of the brothers' names together would spell out the word when combined. Also, Tarble's wife, Gure, is a pun for the Japanese word for grape, which is 'gureppu' and she resembles the fruit as well, due to her round head. Another example is that of Bardock, Goku's father, name, which is a pun on the root vegetable 'burdock' used in Japanese cooking.

1 Tarble Is Now Canon

Tarble, son of King Vegeta, as he appears in the Dragon Ball Z OVA

With Tarble's mention in the latest Dragon Ball Super: Broly, his indefinite position in the Dragon Ball series is now canon, meaning that he is now an official character and everything up until this point is relevant to the story and is not a filler. Examples of those non-canon in the Dragon Ball universe is the entire Dragon Ball GT series, and some of the movies, such as The World's Strongest, Tree Of Might and Bio-Broly to name a few.
