In a recent interview, Toyotarou, the main artist for the Dragon Ball Super manga, conveyed his love for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the latest film in the Dragon Ball franchise.

Toyotarou appeared during an episode of "Weekly Dragon Ball News," a video series featured on the official Dragon Ball website. The episode saw series host "Victory" Uchida sit down with Toyotarou to promote the release of Volume 19 of Dragon Ball Super by having the artist answer readers' questions about the series' current arc, "Granolah the Survivor" and about Super Hero. Toyotarou was asked by one reader what his favorite scene in the film is.

"Honestly, everything. From the start to the end, I loved every scene," Toyotarou answered. "Everything about it from, Toei Animation's work, to its charm and also the sound. Everything is so high-quality; it really struck a chord. It's just so fun and really inspired me." The artist also clarified to the questioner that he had actually gone to see the film four times. Toyotarou went on to discuss his relationship with series creator Akira Toriyama, and how the artist inspires him.

"I've had a lot of interactions with Toriyama, so I find myself searching for and taking in his ideas, his storytelling, and so on each time I watch it," Toyotarou said. "I keep watching it, hoping to learn even a little more about how he thinks and tells a story. I find that aspect fascinating...so I guess my favorite part of the movie is how much I've learned from it."

Toyotarou also praised Toriyama's ability to write good jokes, stating that the jokes in Super Hero work well and are timed hilariously. The artist also expressed admiration for the animation staff at Toei for their part in bringing Toriyama's vision to life.

"The staff at Toei Animation deserve a lot of credit... the director really understood how Toriyama's jokes worked and Toei seemed like they wanted to make them as funny as possible," Toyotarou said. "Perfect coordination... it was a master class in comedy, right down to the last details."
