Dragon Ball Super's manga continues to tell new stories while the fans wait on a new television series.  The manga now follows the story of Granolah, an alien from the planet Cereal who has his entire race wiped out by the Saiyans. And while his name might be a little ridiculous, he somehow managed to make a wish on the Dragon Balls to become the strongest fighter in the universe.

Even though Goku and Vegeta have nothing to do with what happened to Granolah's people, they still have to find a way to stop him from taking revenge and taking their lives. To keep things interesting and lively in the series, Granolah has learned a ton of new techniques and abilities to take down anyone who challenges him.

10 Granolah Displayed Telekinesis As His First New Power Ability

Dragon Ball Super manga Telekinesis Used By Granolah

One of the first powers that Granolah developed after being powered up was telekinesis. This is an ability that’s used off and on by Dragon Ball characters and feels more standard rather than an actual threat. Granolah showed this off by lifting a giant boulder into the air and immediately crushing it. It’s an impressive trick, but the characters in Super are capable of far more impressive feats, making this one of the least impressive things the character can do.

9 Granolah Developed An Energy Shield To Protect Him In Combat

During Granolah’s battle against Vegeta, he was forced to accept the reality that being the strongest is something that can be true only for a moment in time. Vegeta began to match him in power with his Ultra Ego form active. Vegeta’s attacks were so intense that it required Granolah to create an energy shield to defend himself against energy attacks. But this shield was only something that could protect against energy attacks for a moment. After a kick was landed on Granolah, the shield’s power faded, and it forced him to go back to fighting Vegeta properly.

8 Granolah Can Use Power Detection To Notice People's Powers From Different Planets

Granolah Can Detect Power From Other Planets Dragon Ball Super manga

Upon awakening his power from the Dragon Balls, Granolah gained the ability to detect people’s power levels. This is actually a fairly basic ability that Vegeta gains when he fights Goku on Planet Earth, but it’s still crucial for anyone who wants to fight seriously. That said, Granolah’s ability seems to be far better than most because he was able to tell that Frieza wasn’t anywhere on nearby planets. That’s a wide detection range that surpasses most of the martial artists in the series.

7 Granolah Has Developed An Even Faster Form Of Instant Teleportation

Manga Granolah Has Instant Transmission

There’s no official name for Granolah's teleportation technique, but it's apparently something similar to Goku’s instant transmission. During Goku and Vegeta initially landing on Granolah’s home world, they’re immediately attacked by Granolah with a flurry of energy blasts.

When Goku and Vegeta try to attack him, he vanishes and appears behind them faster than they can react. Vegeta remarks that it’s like instant teleportation only for Goku to say it’s even faster than that. This ability makes him a dangerous fighter as he can attack from any location in an instant.

6 Granolah Can Split His Power Across Multiple Versions Of Himself Using Cloning

This technique is basically the multi-form, except it's used by a far more powerful character. Most people are familiar with Tien’s Tri-Form and the multi-form techniques that are used in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. The power allows the user to split their energy. Granolah was strong enough to hide part of his power while facing Frieza, but Goku's power was more than he planned on dealing with from the Saiyans. After reabsorbing his full strength, he was able to knock Goku out with ease.

5 Granolah Can Summon Fire & Flames From The Planet

Granolah’s boost in power came with one additional technique that’s destructive enough to take down most foes. There’s no official name for it, but he can summon the energy of a planet and use it to attack an enemy. In the middle of his fight against Goku, Granolah summons a pillar of flames from Planet Cereal and uses it to attack Goku. Though Goku was able to dodge it, it didn’t seem like it drained any energy from Granolah at all, likely because he’s only using the power of the planet itself.

4 When Granolah Wanted To Hit Hidden Targets, He Developed A Bow & Arrow Ki Attack

Against Vegeta, Granolah was forced to continually step up his abilities. While Goku was trying to dodge using the power of Ultra Instinct, Vegeta focused on fighting as he normally does, which made him a more difficult target.

Instead of continuing to rely on his finger beams, Granolah invented something new. He created a bow and arrow made out of pure energy, relying on his natural abilities as a sniper to hit Vegeta. This was one of the few moves Granolah was able to use that dealt some damage to Vegeta, even in his Ultra Ego form.

3 Granolah's Evolved Right Eye Lets Him See Better Than Any Prior Cerelian

After wishing on the Dragon Balls, Granolah’s right eye became even more useful than it was before. He was already one of the better users of their abilities, which is what made him such a great sniper. But once he increased his strength so rapidly, he was able to see anything in the universe. It’s a power that makes him dangerous because it’s nearly impossible to fool his vision.

2 Granolah Uses Finger Beams To Hit An Opponent's Weak Points

Granolah relies largely on finger beams for his ki blasts, and that's all he needs. The finger beams are tiny yet incredibly accurate, and he can fire them from multiple fingers at the same time. An opponent would have to be both fast and powerful enough to react to them, or else they’ll be easily taken down by them. Goku had to rely on Super Saiyan God just to dodge an opening attack consisting only of Granolah’s finger beams.

1 Granolah Can Hit Anyone's Vital Points With His Physical & Ki Attacks

Granolah Can See People's Vital Points Dragon Ball Super manga

Granolah’s right eye enhancement has made him dangerous in more ways than one. He’s gained the ability to see the blood flow and muscle movements of people he’s fighting, even as they’re moving in super-speed and in the middle of combat. Because of this, Granolah is now capable of directly targeting people’s vital points to shut them down and do massive damage to their bodies. Goku is shut down by this multiple times, and this is probably Granolah's most dangerous ability.
