Dragon Ball is all about the alien Saiyan race making themselves at home on Earth and basically inviting bad guys to have a brawl with them because they want to become stronger. And the only way to do that is to fight evil beings who want to destroy the planet and end everyone's life along with it.
All the Saiyans in Dragon Ball have given fans enormous entertainment over the years and while some of them have left a lasting mark with their unique personalities, others have become tremendously hated due to either being a supervillain or just plain boring.
18 Goku Black
Zamasu is the most unlikeable god ever. So much so that he decided to capture all the Super Dragon Balls and wished for Goku's body. He became obsessed with the Saiyan ability to get stronger with every battle and in doing so, he turned into one of the evilest supervillains of the anime. His Super Saiyan Rose form was not easy to deal with for Goku and Vegeta.
17 Nappa
Nappa was Vegeta's partner when they decided to raid the Earth in a bid to search for the Dragon Balls. One of the only surviving Saiyans hailing from Planet Vegeta, Nappa was as sinister as people come. He didn't look fazed by the bloodshed he caused, instead, he absolutely loved every single minute of it, implying his crave for power.
16 Paragus
Broly's father, Paragus, followed his son to exile and joined him on Vampa. There, he decided to train Broly how to survive and use his near-unlimited strength. But in doing so, he tried to contain Broly, stopped being a father and started acting like a ringmaster. Broly became an item for revenge for Paragus.
15 King Vegeta
Another Saiyan who died at the hands of Frieza, King Vegeta was the leader of Saiyans and the father of Vegeta. Although he was the king of a fearless race, King Vegeta often took the necessary steps to keep his bloodline safe – like sending Broly to another planet because of the Legendary Super Saiyan's unpredictable strength.
14 Raditz
Goku's brother, Raditz, is the polar opposite of Earth's mightiest Saiyan and they seem to share extremely different values thanks to the difference in their respective upbringing. When Raditz introduced himself, he left everyone trembling in fear before abducting Gohan.
It was Raditz, though, who told Goku about his Saiyan origins and thus pushed him to become stronger and better.
13 Bardock
Bardock is Goku & Raditz' father and he is a lower-class Saiyan who fought bravely against Frieza and his forces. Bardock appeared in a Dragon Ball Z movie where he was shown in a positive light. Although he knew he never stood a chance against Frieza, Bardock stayed true to his Saiyan Pride.
12 Kale
The Legendary Super Saiyan who took the world by storm with her appearance, Kale is a Universe 6 Saiyan who fought bravely in the Tournament of Power, making her power known to every competitor. As a character, Kale is quite the introvert, keeping things to herself, and not talking to anyone. But as soon as she turns into the Berserker Super Saiyan form, she goes absolutely mad, destroying everything in her wake.
11 Cabba
Cabba came from Universe 6 and he became an unlikely friend of Vegeta's. Somehow, he was able to bring out the emotional side of the Saiyan Prince. Cabba himself is a light-hearted Saiyan, who wants nothing but good for everyone. He is a very kind soul capable of showing unspeakable power.
10 Pan
Pan is the daughter of Gohan and Videl, whose confidence is off the charts. She is a baby in Dragon Ball Super but in Dragon Ball GT, she showed the fearlessness Saiyans are known for. Just like her father, Pan is not one who will back down from a fight and she is very playful as well. DBS might bring in some changes to her character in the future.
9 Bra
Bra is Vegeta and Bulma's daughter, who was quite recently born in Dragon Ball Super, although she has made various appearances in Dragon Ball Z and GT. From those, it can be gathered that Bra is picky and has little resemblance to her father. Unlike Trunks, she isn't afraid of Vegeta and wants to please him. She is a happy-go-lucky child.
8 Kid Trunks
Kid Trunks is just like his father. He is cocky, disrespectful, and loves to gloat about his strength. Despite that, he has a soft heart and is ready to put his life on the line to protect his family. He is Goten's best friend and together, they form quite a duo. All things considered, Trunks is the stronger among the two.
7 Goten
Goten is Goku's second son and one of the youngest Saiyans to master the Super Saiyan transformation. Like Kid Trunks, Goten is a happy-go-lucky child who loves to pull pranks. Because he is a Saiyan, he loves to throw about some punches as well. Goten is very cute and always ready to step up for his family, although he is a child.
6 Gohan
Gohan has and always will be a fan favorite no matter what he does. His character took a turn for the worse after an incredible showing in the Cell arc, but the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super managed to bring back the good old Ultimate Gohan fans used to love. He has the potential to be the strongest Saiyan ever but he focuses on his personal life and taking care of his family, unlike his father.
5 Caulifla
Caulifla is another one of Universe 6's Saiyans and she is very entertaining to watch due to her cocky nature quite similar to that of Vegeta. She is Kale's best friend and with her, she performed the Potara Fusion technique to form Kefla (who took Goku to the limit). Caulifla herself is very disrespectful and dismissive in nature. And like all Saiyans, she likes to have a good fight. She seems to be a very quick learner too.
4 Future Trunks
Trunks has been an integral part of multiple gripping storylines in the Dragon Ball Universe, especially Future Trunks, who seems to bring some of the best villains ever from his timeline.
There are a lot of similarities between kid Trunks and Vegeta, but Future Trunks is the opposite: he is cool, calm, respectful, and understands the consequences of his actions.
3 Goku
The flag bearer of the Dragon Ball franchise, Goku is quite easy to read and understand as a character, whose unbridled positivity make him a likable lead. That said, he loves to put the planet in danger by provoking fights and he was literally the architect of the Tournament of Power, although Zeno was planning it for a bit. Goku is by far the strongest Saiyan in the series and his Ultra Instinct form is absolutely stunning to watch in action.
2 Broly
While Dragon Ball Z's Broly was shown as a demonic/sadistic figure, Dragon Ball Super's latest movie converted him into a misunderstood anti-hero. Broly's raw strength is spell-bounding, especially his Wrath form that seems to sustain the power of the Great Ape in his usual Saiyan form. Not to mention the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation that makes him look like an absolute beast; an unstoppable beast.
1 Vegeta
The Saiyan Prince has come a long way since he first came to Earth looking to destroy the planet and take the Dragon Balls. Goku spared him after Vegeta failed in his mission and fair to say, Goku's desire to fight Vegeta again played a huge role in turning the Elite Saiyan around. Vegeta wants everyone in the world to know that he doesn't care about anyone but in reality, he does, and his family keeps him going.
